Mercy Hospital Campus - Denver CO

Mercy Hospital Redevelopment was built in 1901 and served the Denver area until the late 1970’s.  In 1998, DMG, working as owner’s representative for REGen LLC helped transform this 14-acre, 4-city-block site from one of urban blight into one of the most recognizable redevelopments in Denver . 

Identifying $1.2 million in excess costs, the investors hired DMG to oversee and manage the remediation and demolition project, as well as to re-write the technical specifications.   DMG initially analyzed the existing due diligence materials and proposals for remediation and demolition.   DMG then applied our proprietary quality management and process engineering methodologies, which generated tremendous value to investors / developers, providing them with budgeting, costing, contracting, value engineering, and project management in one package. 

This $14 million high-profile redevelopment project, included utility decommissioning, $8 million in infrastructure improvements, environmental abatement, demolition, and extensive site coordination between our crews and four different developers.  Prior to  building demolition, we coordinated multiple training exercises with the Denver Police, Swat  Teams, Canine Units and the Denver Fire Department.
